Peugeot supports the Act Responsible association and is backing the "Be Cycle&Fashion" operation

For the highly original "Be Cycle&Fashion" operation, 11 fashion designers and one Peugeot Couleurs et Matières designer are customising bicycles devised and offered by Peugeot, which will be exhibited at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival from 21st June 2010 and sold at auction in the autumn for the benefit of the ACT Responsible association.

Peugeot is the partner in an operation dreamed up by the IDENIUM agency, developed and produced in collaboration with One Heart Channel (www.lachaineducoeur.fr/becycle ) dedicated to solidarity and the environment, and Sylvie Burger Conseil.

Why "Be Cycle&Fashion"?
A cult object and symbol of environmentally-friendly transport, the bicycle is making a come-back in many large towns and cities. It is very trendy, becoming the standard-bearer of the new committed generation. At the same time, fashion, luxury and design have for several years forged a durable, creative dialogue with sustainable development.

Peugeot RCZ Cup: an international competition
The Peugeot RCZ Cup is played from mid-April to mid-August 2010. The 2010 edition of this new international competition is organised in twelve countries: England, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Japan, Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Norway, Finland and Switzerland.
Almost 40 competitions are organised by the Marque's dealers in France.

This new competition, open to all amateur golfers, is organised by the Peugeot dealers. Each participating team has two players, who compete according to the Scramble formula (each time, players choose the best ball to play).

Le Mans 24 Hours : Peugeot's Le Mans offensive

On the momentum of its one-two finish at Le Mans this time last year, Peugeot is on the hunt for a second straight win in the prestigious French competition. Twelve months of hard preparation work since June 2009 have kept the team under pressure in its bid to secure repeat success on this uniquely popular event which attracts more than 250,000 spectators annually.

From 2009 to 2010: emotions aplenty and a great deal of exacting work
If only because of the unknowns, drama and potential pitfalls that have always been part and parcel of the Le Mans 24 Hours, the emotion and joy that come from winning the great French race are absolutely unique. When Peugeot had the privilege of tasting Le Mans success in 2009, it was able to measure the wave of passion its result prompted, both among the public and across the company. The victorious 908 HDi FAP and its three drivers – Alexander Wurz, Marc Gené and David Brabham – embarked almost immediately on a 'lap of honour' tour which lasted from June until September before the car finally made its way back to the team's Vélizy workshops. Since then, with its sights set firmly on 2010, the year of Peugeot's 200th anniversary celebrations, Team Peugeot Total hasn't taken its eye off the ball in the slightest. Last January, the French carmaker released details of its new project which – in keeping with the brand's new brand signature: Peugeot, MOTION & EMOTION – continues to put emotion at the heart of motoring, and motor sport has long been deeply rooted in Peugeot's DNA.

Peugeot on the urban mobility offensive, competing in the Challenge Bibendum in Rio de Janeiro

Peugeot, whose worldwide focus is to develop innovative mobility products, is participating in this edition of the Challenge Bibendum in Rio de Janeiro between 30th May and 3rd June 2010 with a range of vehicles: the Hoggar pick-up equipped with a flex-fuel engine, a prototype of the 207 Passion running on bio-Diesel and the 100% electric BB1 concept car.

Peugeot's involvement in this 10th edition of the Challenge Bibendum with a host of different vehicles and technologies not only demonstrates its vision of the future for mobility, but also the importance of its business in Brazil, the host country for this 2010 edition.

One of these vehicles is the recently launched Peugeot Hoggar that will compete in the eco-driving challenge. The aim of this event is to show that everyday driving habits can have an influence on cutting fuel consumption, and consequently polluting gas emissions.

308 GTi, Emotion without compromise

Peugeot returns to the world of the GTi with the launch of the 308 GTi, a sporty hatchback for a new era: enjoyable for day to day driving and environmentally-friendly. Available exclusively as a 5 door model only, it combines a modern synthesis of versatility and driveability.

Sporty driving in step with the times
The 308 GTi has a sporty nature that is in tune with our current times:
- well-heeled athleticism for day-to-day driving enjoyment and a high level of onboard comfort at all engine speeds but, stopping short of being a specialist vehicle, yet still able to offer real excitement when its “driver” asks more of it.
- environmentally-friendly, combining good levels of performance with fuel consumption of only 6.9 litres/100 km for 159 g/km of CO2.

The 1.6 litre THP 147 kW (200 bhp) engine - Maximising efficiency
At the heart of the vehicles sporty nature is the all new 1.6 litre THP 147 kW (200 bhp) engine, launched simultaneously in the RCZ Coupé, a key factor in the overall efficiency of the 308 GTi.

The "200 years" RCZ claims victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours

The Peugeot Germany team's "200 years" RCZ won the 38th Nürburgring 24 Hours in the under-2L Diesel category.

To mark the launch of its exceptional Peugeot RCZ coupé as well as its bicentenary, Peugeot took part in this mythical event around the Nürburgring race course for the first time by placing two cars in competition. This race, which has a strong following in Germany, attracts 220,000 spectators every year with over 211 cars lining up on the starting grid.

The RCZ No. 201 driven by Jürgen Nett - Joey Kelly - Michael Bohrer - Henning Klipp took first place in the D1T category sharing the podium with the RCZ No. 200 driven by Jean-Philippe Peugeot - Stéphane Caillet - Cyrus Ayari - Olivier Perez, which took 3rd place in the same category.

The success of the RCZ is down to the car's remarkable reliability, the performance of the HDI FAP engine with 200 hp and the efficiency of its running gear. These factors all contributed to the successful outcome of this race. Peugeot is keen to acknowledge the efforts of all the engineers, technicians and drivers, both French and German, who participated in this amazing human adventure, demonstrating fantastic commitment throughout.

Euro 5 engines

Peugeot continues to roll out its Euro 5 engines throughout the range in anticipation of new environmental standards with the arrival of new 1.6 litre HDi FAP engines in the spring of 2010.

NEW Euro5 ENGINES
Driveability and environmental-friendliness

Following the example of the new 1.6 litre HDi FAP 82 kW (112 bhp) engine launched several weeks ago on the 308 CC and currently in deployment, the second quarter of 2010 sees the appearance of the 1.6 litre HDi FAP 68 kW (92 bhp) in Peugeot ranges.
These new Euro 5 engines are the fruit of a global development programme by the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group requiring an investment of €1.5 billion over nearly 4 years.

Driveability that just gets better
These new HDi FAP engines are designed to comply fully with the new Euro 5 standards. At the same time they offer enhanced performance in terms of versatility and responsiveness and also in terms of acoustic comfort, while offering optimised fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (gain of around 5 g/km compared to earlier versions).

Peugeot is reinvesting in city centres with Peugeot City

By today inaugurating the first Peugeot City outlet, the Marque is re-establishing itself in city centres with a new distribution concept focused on local presence and service.

Peugeot is reinvesting in city centres to offer more services within easy reach of its clients, and by way of a new distribution concept: Peugeot City.
Around a tightly focused range presentation, Peugeot City offers a maximum of services: vehicle ordering and delivery, finance arrangements, mobility solutions, a tactile show room for vehicle customisation, convenient opening hours…

With this in mind, in 150 m² of retail space, Peugeot City will be both the relay point for the Mu by Peugeot mobility service and a place to find all the latest news about the Marque. At the Rue de Châteaudun site, the Peugeot 107, Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot RCZ will be on display.
